| Project description |
|
Aims to provide a physical infrastructure to underpin the expansion of a micro- and non-technology dependent industry cluster. Over 5 years the Centre should provide for 170 highly-skilled graduates (until they later gain entry into the marketplace), 37 spin-out companies, and an initial 90 high-skill jobs.
The Centre will: provide a postgraduate and vocational training and work environment; support new start-ups and established industry through provision of trained personnel, R&D support, rapid turn-around prototype fabrication facilities and low-volume production runs; provide spin-off companies with incubation space and business support; increase graduate retention within the region by encouraging an entrepreneurial climate within the university. |
