| The line of action number 6 of our Regional Plan for Scientific Research and Technological Innovation (PRICIT) is the one related to support the Creation and Development of New Technology Based Firms in our region.
That´s why from the General Directored of Research (DGI) of the Community of Madrid we are carrying out a programme to support the spin-offs creation from the universities and public research centres. The most important tool whithin this Programme is the “Virtual Incubator” wich is a mixed (physical and virtual services) unit to support both entrepreneurs and local investors. The virtual incubator started its activity on the 14th of January of 2000 by the coordination of the DGI. This virtual platform gives the following services: Physical Services - Awareness seminars: Held at the different institutions. - Entrepreneurs Courses: Where the potencial idea become a business plan. - Promoters Courses: To show the staff from the different universities or research centres, the way to awar, detect and guide an idea born in their institution. - Mentoring programme: Guiding the entrepreneur to get the business plan. - Potencial Ideas Studies. - Viability Studies. Virtual or Telematic Services - Information - Documentation - Advisoring - Physical Place Search (Physical Incubators) - Comercial Agreements - Financing Search Some of the results of the Virtual Incubator activity are the following: Awareness Seminars 6 International meetings in creation of NTBF 3 Potencial ideas Studies 19 Viability Studies 3 Promoters Courses 2 editions Entrepreneurs Courses 4 editions Mentoring Programmes 82 Firms created 16 Proyects in course 27 |
