Innovation within the “region”

There are following organisations which aim is to support innovative economy established in the region:

WROCLAW TECHNOLOGY PARK
Wroclaw Technology Park is a stock company registered in Wroclaw in 1998. Founding shareholders are:
· Ministry of Treasure,
· Municipality of Wroclaw,
· Wroclaw University of Technology,
· University of Wroclaw,
· University of Agriculture,
· Foundation for Development of the Wroclaw University of Technology,
· Lower Silesian Chamber of Commerce,
· Investment company “DOLMEL” Ltd.,
· Bank Zachodni S.A.
The mission of Wroclaw Technology Park is to create conditions to explore scientific and industrial potential of Wroc³aw and the region. Wroclaw Technology Park is aimed to fulfil requirements of high-tech enterprises as well as laboratories, scientific and R&D institutions. Wroclaw Technology Park promotes the establishment and growth of innovative companies in the following branches:
· telecommunication, electronics and mechatronics,
· computers and data processing,
· genetic engineering, molecular biology,
· advanced food processing,
· medical devices and materials, pharmacology,
· environmental protection and power engineering,
· chemistry, new materials,
· control engineering, laboratory equipment, precision mechanics,
· cryogenics, vacuum and high pressures technologies

CENTRE FOR ADVANCED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY (CAMT)
Centre for Advanced Manufacturing Technology (CAMT) was established in 1994 in the Institute of Production Engineering and Automation at Wroc³aw University of Technology. Presently, the centre employs 40 scientists, including 4 professors, 10 doctors and as many as 20 PhD students.
CAMT concentrates on research, training and technology transfer, in the scope of modern production. The research area includes the whole product development cycle, beginning with the very concept of the product and its designs, throughout its prototyping, till production planning and automation. Technology transfer concerns mainly the integration of varied software and hardware solutions in industry. CAMT is acknowledged as a leading research centre and a technology provider in Poland. Foreign cooperation is a very important activity area for our Institute. The partnership is performed through over 30 active links with other European research institutions.
The Centre and its Laboratory staff have been praised with numerous international certificates, e.g. ISO/TÜV "Authorised AutoCAD Training Centre", "PROFIBUS Competence Centre", or "SUN Technologies Centre." CAMT is financed by industrial projects (ABB, ADTranz, BOSCH, de Laval, Sauer Danfoss), national and international projects (Leonardo da Vinci, Eureka, 5FP) and by the State Committee for Scientific Research.
Presently, there are the following activities being conducted at the Centre in six thematic fields: Machine Tools Assembly and Robotics Design Tools and CAx Production Engineering Manufacturing Automation Manufacturing and Quality
Employees of the Centre are authors of about 50-60 publications a year and take part at 20-30 projects for industry. Within education Centre promotes about 40 engineers a year in every study specialization.

WROCLAW TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER CENTRE
The mission of the Centre is to increase effectiveness and competitiveness of manufacturing companies The Wroclaw Technology Transfer Centre aims on information, promotion, training, advisory service and implementation of advanced ,methods, technologies of organisation in industry.
It is a kind of bridge between Wroclaw Politechnik and industry
The Wroclaw Technology Transfer Centre belongs to the network of Innovation Relay Centres (IRCs).
