Infrastructure development to support research & development, technology transfer and spin-out businesses in the field of nanotechnology

AREA Science Park is one of the main multisector scientific parks of Europe. Its surface of 55 hectares of the carsico plateau extends on one side to encircle Trieste, in the two campuses of Padriciano and Basovizza. It accommodates currently more than 70 Centers, Societies and Institutes in which work over 1600 personell, engaged in activities such as research and development, and technological transfer.

BioResearch Ireland (BRI) is Enterprise Ireland’s (EI) Programme in Advanced Technology for biotechnology. BRI manages the commercialisation of technologies arising from university research by assisting the development and transfer of technology from research facilities to industry.
